The Enforcement Department consists of 18 Tribal Gaming Investigators (Agents), one Criminal/Administrative Analyst, two Enforcement Managers, and the Assistant Executive Director (Training). The department operates 365 days a year – 24 hours a day in the two adjoining Casino facilities and the Bingo Hall.
Agents are authorized through the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), Tribal/State Compact and the Muckleshoot Gaming Ordinance to regulate gaming activities on the Muckleshoot Indian Reservation. Because of their backgrounds and their responsibilities, Enforcement Agents function as Investigators for the Muckleshoot Gaming Commission.
They work closely with all TGA departments and the Gaming Operations to carry out their duties.
Tribal Gaming Agents regulate by being present for specific activities, investigating violations of procedures, regulations, and laws as well as by performing inspections of regulated areas and gaming operation employees. Agents also perform as law enforcement coordinators who provide liaison functions with Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies that have lawful jurisdiction.
Their roles and duties ensure that patrons participate in fair gaming and that violations, crimes and unusual activities are fully investigated.
